Roblox Game Doing Well But Only Averaging at 20-25 Players.. Help!

Alright, I have recently released a game called Hijacked Story and a lot of people like it. I have been getting favourites and visits at a resonable rate but normally there are only 5-20 people playing the game at one time. Can I have some feedback and how I could increase the player count? Here is the game:

I think the game icon could do with a bit more pop so it catches the eye of more people because at the moment it seems a bit dull to me. Maybe you could hire a gfx artist to help.

Oh. Do you have a example if a good icon?

Hi.
This game is so slow. I felt like I was watching a movie rather than actually playing. It felt like economy simulator.

I initially started with 3 players. The first guy didn’t come through somehow or the teleportation failed him. The second guy was there until the seatbelt part in which he was unable to locate it… he died or left.

I gave up when I was asked to locate a key card which I genuinely spent over 10 minutes searching every cupboard I could, every isle and seat to absolutely no avail and the music cut out.
Some parts in your plane are colliding and before the plane even took on it was bugging or seemed to be experiencing turbulence despite the fact we hadn’t even begun flying. The seats and overall the entire interior seem too big and the design of the aircraft could use work.

The biggest issue is speed. Slow intro, slow waiting, listening to unnecessary captain chatter… it was just a boring start, middle and end. As @MilkThreeSugars said, the game icon could use work as well.

I got some suggestions that you should try:-

  1. Increasing the number of players of your game in the game settings.

  2. You need to make a better thumbnail. If you’re good in GFX stuff, then you’re good. Also, add thumbnails that are more eye-catchy and the realism that people want.

  3. If you can, add a YouTube video of your game. Make it like as if its a trailer of a movie, or depends on you.

Hope that this is helpful!

Oh. The dialogue is actually a important part of the game though. Its meant to be telling you a story but you just get to experience it. The keycard was actually in one of the cupboards, I think you missed it. (We are actually in the air already) The design has to be around that size or else it won’t be able to fit that much players into it.

Do you have any examples of a good thumbnail?

I’m aware it’s a story based game but that doesn’t mean it has to be slow. A lot of the dialogue seems redundant.
I assure you I checked every single cupboard.
Pretty sure at the start of the game the captain says we haven’t taken off but maybe I misread.

To improve, one must listen to it’s compliments and harshest of criticisms on a balanced level. Making excuses for why X is Y and A is B instead of changing what actually needs fixing is a bad mentality when you’re looking to gain more players and make your game better. I hope this helped.

Okay, could you tell me what I can cut down/improve on?

Everything in my original post. Cut down the story, fix bugs, make the game more interesting.
The text UI seemed kinda off as well now that I’m thinking of it. While countdowns and such are happening, you could make a text come through from someone and give a little background story. It’ll make your game a little more interesting rather than waiting. Try to speed up the game as much as possible

When I joined, I had to wait 5 minutes to get people on my ride because everyone was freaking out about you, the owner being there which isn’t a problem but it’s hard without others. After getting teleported to the other game, the GUI, models, etc. wasn’t loading in for 30 seconds, it eventually did but I don’t know if it’s my laptop or it’s the game since it never happened to me. After that, I tried sitting on seats and I couldn’t even sit on them. Screen Shot 2020-07-26 at 11.48.51 AM
I tried finding my seat which was so hard to do because the numbers and letters were hard to find. Either way, after all of that I had to look for a code that took over 10 minutes to find. I eventually found it in a locker it was back to normal. 5 minutes later, I had to look for 4 more codes and I eventually quit after that because it took too long. The task are really hard to do, especially as a new player who never really plays those types of games. I would say from my experience, it was a 4/10.

Alright, you could actually play the game Solo, the 30 seconds wait at the beginning is to ensure all players are loaded in before the game starts. In order to find your seat, you are suppose to hold out your ticket and head towards the green beacon. Yes, I have been getting feedback about some people not being able to find the codes, I will make it easier.

Sorry I don’t. But you can see examples of GFX artists on their work by looking at the picture of what they had made.
