Roblox Group Claiming Issues

Hi there,

I’ve recently attempted to claim the group name “Pleasant Hotels” multiple times, however I keep getting “Unknown error”. When using the console, I can see it’s Error 409 (Conflict), however this group name is critical to my work, and I would appreciate being able to claim it. I have all the required Robux to claim too, here’s a screenshot of the issue:

Hmm, I can reproduce this issue. Have u tried with an underscore? Or anything? Maybe create a group then Change the name?

Ah here’s ur issue, from my understanding when getting this error it means that a group has used this name recently and u need to wait a while for it to be used again

Thanks for the help, so to clarify, I need to wait until the 90 days of changing it has passed? I was essentially getting confused from the unknown error, as when searching online, it’s not really documented anywhere except for changing the name of an existing group (not making a new one).

Sometime its when you have max group, try leaving one.

Yes, you have to wait until 90 days has passed to change the group-name again. You can check in audit logs when the name was last changed and by who.
