The part I’m most confused about is how they are all copies of the same thing but two have 1 member and one has 2 members.

This just happened to me again!
This had just happened to me today.
Same for me, but it errors out and gives me a group for free. and it doesn’t take 100 robux
Reproduction Steps
I’m not quite sure how to reproduce, I was going through names and they each said taken. I finally got a name that went through and I was charged Robux for, but I noticed this group had also been created without the Robux being taken, even though it said the name was already taken. An “unknown error” occurred on the page as I was making it.

Expected Behavior
I expect a group to made while being charged, and if the group name is taken, the group not to be made.
Actual Behavior
I was charged twice but the robux never went out for the glitched group. I started on 25,500 and after the glitch group + my group were made I had 25,400

Unfortunately it happened a while ago so I don’t have the details on hand and I didn’t create a bug report for whatever reason so this is about as helpful as just liking the thread instead of posting, but this has happened to me in the past as well only one time. I wasn’t ever able to reproduce it and I don’t know the cause either but it was also the result of an “unknown error”.

This is something by to take to Roblox support because they are the ones who can get you your stuff back.

This happened to me a few days ago, I contacted support and they didn’t do anything. I was gonna make a bug report but I don’t think I’m a high enough forum level to do this.

Something like this also happened to me. I was creating a group and it say a group name was available. When I pressed the create group button it said either an unknown error occurred or that the group name was taken (I don’t recall which). When I looked at my user’s groups the group I was trying to create was there.
This was from a while ago, so my recollection might not be perfect.
I got a similar pair of purchases recorded:
I am nearly certain I was also only charged once.

@KadenBloxYT your responses are not useful to this bug report – you should just leave a reply including links to the two groups and a screenshot of your payment history showing the double payment.

I just got a group but I wasn’t charged for it, it does show up in transactions though. Hope Roblox can fix this bug soon!
This is happend to me too, when i press button create group it said “Unknown error” and when i press again the group name already taken. after that i check my profile. the group is already created and I wasn’t charged for it, but recorded in my Transactions -100 Robux. so yeah i got free group.
This issue hasn’t been addressed since August, does anyone know if it’s fixed? I still want my refund, I was going to use that 100 
.

Thank you for your patience. We’ve been investigating this and have come to the following conclusions:
- We identified the issue and have a fix in the pipeline
- Users have not been double charged. You may see two transactions in your transactions list, but that is because refunds currently do not display in the transactions list. The team has plans to address this soon
As for the extra groups that were created, they are here to stay and yours to keep.
