Roblox Inspire 2024 Challenge

i submitted my game on the online survery thing where it asked for you info, but i didnt get the achievement medal, was i supposed to submit it here?

Thank you for the feedback

To add onto to your point about the tutorial, I TOTALLY agree. I would’ve made a more visual tutorial built in for first time users but I was very short on time. Overall, thanks for the awesome feedback, will for sure keep this in mind for future projects.

That’s so true, i worked solo and i made the game, but i didnt get the time to spice the design up, so i think its not the worst, but not the best.

I am also seeing whole teams of 5 people creating crazy stuff, i dont think i will win because the icon and the thumbnail were rushed just 10 minutes before i met the deadline, 4 days would be perfect imo.

I liked the idea… and tested an old game that had stalled.
Opened 2 Tabs of the same game - updated the description of 1.

To get back quicker after the description update (in Content Settings)… I just used backspace. The date & time was the ‘same’ (4 months ago).
I waited 5 mins… in case it would show late… and nothing changed - (4 months).
After the wait… I refreshed anyway - and walla - it said updated 2mins ago :open_mouth:

And I was thinking it would be safe to change the Description info - that was a close call.
So anyone else - be aware - we can update nothing - even the website page.

Anyway - for others - Here’s the info needed to play.

  1. Find the 4 Keys (1 at a time).
  2. With the KEY in your hand - CLICK on it !
  3. Finish the Obby it sends you to - (then find the 'StarGate looking Portal to complete it).
  4. Find the Next Key - and Repeat till all Obby’s are completed (then the game is over/win).
  5. If you run out of time - your game is over - Time is Your Enemy

Known Bugs:

  1. Zone 2 - Yellow Key - (sand dune & buggy) - walk thru the Portal (driving thru doesn’t allow it)
  2. Zone 1 - Green Key - (the hardest) has Check Points - but sometimes fails (try walk into star) - seems to work better :frowning:
But there is still enough time (with practice) to complete it - (I had 2mins to spare).

Zone 1 - there are 9 areas to finish.

And last but also important:
3. On the Cellphone or Tablet - when you die - you can go back to the start screen.
However for some reason - on the PC - you press the ‘X’ (top left) to close & you need to select the game again to go back in. :frowning:

These are things that slipped through - time constrained. (but were told to test before-hand)

Game in question (in case you didn’t see it above)

@TimeFrenzied ReviewingInspire

Is there a place or webpage that will ONLY show us the games that were submitted for the Inspire Jam … other than seeing them posted here ?
It would be nice to see all the others in one place.

My guess … is that some Devs might not have shared theirs in this Post yet.

Our team made this experience.

An experience where your time keeps running out to a situation where Time becomes your enemy.

Thanks for reviewing! Honestly I do agree about what you said, the mechanics are pretty slow and I should’ve made the game clock much smaller so moving in time wouldn’t be as much of a pain, because i had planned to make the time movement faster, which had resulted in making some parts of the obby extremly buggy lol

Also I wanted to add an ending cutscene where you’d break the crystal, I had fully animated it, problem is, the whole animation broke thanks to the animation curve editor being a hellhole when it comes to doing that, and I didn’t have time to fix every single keyframe in like 10 minutes, so I opted just for the fading to black.

gee time rly is your enemy when making a gamejam…

HII here is our game, it’s about the doctor telling you that you have 3 days to live the best of your life which means cleaning your house, eating, sleeping and more: Hurry House - Roblox

hey, we’d love to hear some honest feedback for our submission too when you can!

it’s pretty short at around 4-5 minutes of playtime—we didn’t use any pre-developed assets and made everything during the timeframe from scratch: the models, textures, sounds, and even the framework within it

here’s the trailer for it as well:

This one was pretty good! I like the story telling mixed with the time-crunching tasks. For sure makes it more stressful. Although, I did notice getting very confused on what to do at some parts of the game. I feel like the dialogue could’ve explained what you’re suppose to do a little bit better in some areas, but other than that the game is really polished and I love the overall idea.

Already posted before but there seem like there’s a lot of reviewers for newer posts. Would love to see some feedback from anybody available to play :eyes:

Can’t even blame yall for the current on-going bugs, first at all the theme was very hard to work with and find ideas for it and 2nd at all the time was too short.
