Playing the game right now, I love the style, graphics, and how much care was put into it. Even the detail of smoke coming from the house was just crazy, even if it’s simple to make. Even spawning at another house (unless im stupid) upon death
The main issue with the game, and I think it stems from the time constraint due to alot of other games having this issue, is the lack of knowing what to do. I know, I read the description, but its pretty confusing until you realize loll.
Another flaw is it feels like you can just walk out into the sun, do 8 things, and walk back in to regen for 2 seconds (repeat.) because of the fast paced nature of the game. I see why this was done from a gameplay point of view, and probably why you couldn’t think of this idea/wouldn’t implement it but an idea that can probably fix/improve it (and could’ve very possibly been added during the time limit) is planting/watering animations (not fertilizer grrrr) where you can’t move and can only cancel them. Ofc if you decide to update after, feel free to add this, but I mean to where you can like, walk out and plant one thing, or refill water but you don’t have time to water like 9 plants in the sun.
It also feels like a waiting game every time for the night market, sometimes I go in the shade area, end up going afk, and ending up dead somehow, tell me if this is known or if it’s just me please. (edit: this happened over 3 times and I saw it happening once haha)
Also, a glitch happened to me once where all the placed pots dissappeared (i didn’t die that life, just bought something from the shop), so, that was fun lol. Maybe I got another death bug.
Edit: I think this has to do with the E press behavior because my watering can dissappeared mid run, I suspect it went to another house somehow. No. I poofed it and can no longer progress haha.
O-KAY! So I figured out you can poof objects into this useless bug spray bottle somehow and softlock the whole game lol. Why is it even there, artifact from testing? Or will it be useful later.
Edit 3 or 4 or whatever: you can poof any object into any object.
Anyways I’m gonna try to finish the game cuz I really like it lol, this might even be a winner in the gamejam and I hope it is.
we plan to have various ailments that can affect the plants to make it more management heavy so you’re not just waiting around all the time. It’s supposed to be more like a diner dash kind of make sure every table is satisfied kind of deal.
