If you where trying to make a full VR game. Then yes, you would need a VR headset. However, if you just wanted to move your current game over to VR, then it would be crazy to think that to adjust the GUI and other aspects for the player will need the developer to buy a VR headset. I find that I can set up mobile support on my Roblox games without even opening Roblox on my phone if I use the āDevicesā page. I expect that āVRā not being an option in the āDevicesā menu before, is why so few games currently support VR.
Even having a VR headset, I find it annoying having to set everything up to test it. At least Roblox Studio should be able to play-test using a VR headset standalone.
To correct myself:
When upon testing if this works, I have found Roblox Studio can play-test a game using a headset! however it needs to have a wired connection (Just thought I should make this clear), which does not replicate the experience of the user if playing standalone.

Not on standalone you canāt. The only way to use Studio now is by accessing PCVR.

Canāt wait to experience my existing games in VR! Not only that but Iāll probably also make a brand new game exclusively for VR. Excellent job, Roblox, this is actually a really good change, since I no longer have to spend $1000 extra just to play and make VR games! Well done

$1000? a quest is $300, and unity (for personal use) is free

@walksanator This is what I meant, I have an mid-tier laptop and not a powerful pc; I tried buying a link cable to make Unity games and play/make Roblox games in VR but it did not work since my pc was not powerful enough, and a pc of the desired amount of power wouldāve been $1000. I already had a Quest 2, so now I can basically develop VR games with no additional cost whatsoever. Thanks, Roblox!

Meta account = Facebook account. You need a meta account to log into fb.
