I moved to Cyprus from Sweden around 9 months ago and my account location still says Sweden. I’ve not been in Sweden for more than a couple days, many months ago and I don’t use any VPN. I think that it’s either a bug or there’s not enough clarity around this as it’s quite a long time.

You have to contact support and you have to prove you’re in Cyprus, which really sucks and is heavily privacy invasive, why do I have to provide immigration papers just to prove I’m in a country?

I’m having the same issue as well. For some reason, though, if I go to another country, make an account there, then go back (without a VPN), it changes the location quickly (2 days for me). With my main account, it hasn’t changed since months. Although it might just be because I have a lot of devices logged in, all of its locations are in the country I moved to
For some reason it also keeps giving me the same automated email about this and kept denying it
Still an issue for me and it’s been a year now. Roblox is not taking this serious.
My account’s location isn’t changing for 3 years already. Support is telling me that they don’t change accounts location at the moment, I genuinely don’t know what to do since my chat doesn’t work at all!
Roblox, please understand this is a really severe issue. Countries have different regulations and laws they apply for everything between child safety to lootbox gambling and more, that’s why General Data Protection Regulation, which is regulated in both Cyprus and Sweden (for example) specifically states under
Article 5(d) " 1. accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date; every reasonable step must be taken to ensure that personal data that are inaccurate, having regard to the purposes for which they are processed, are erased or rectified without delay (‘accuracy’);"
I’m not asking for much, just that it correctly states which country I live in, it should be accurate to help all parties involved.
This is still unresolved, I have now been in Cyprus for 1.5 year and Roblox simply doesn’t change this.
It’s completely broken, I have been in Sweden one for a week since moving to Cyprus, around a year ago. There is no reason for Roblox to believe that I live anywhere else but Cyprus.
