Thanks for the report! Just to confirm, we have a ticket for this in our internal database.
Just reset my PC a second time. This time, however, I only had Roblox installed (no other programs!). Tried to open Roblox from the web and from the application, no luck. Other programs weren’t conflicting with the app launch, it’s just the app itself with the problem.

I still have the same issue on it nowadays.
Experiencing the exact same issues as of now.
I’m still trying to fix this, Mine opens in the background and then closes.
Fixed, All i did was add ClientSettings.json into the folder with RobloxPlayerBeta.exe.
Inside of json: {“DFIntWriteFullDmpPercent”: 100}
Hello… This issue is still happening today. I completely wiped Oculus (even with a system resotre) but that was no use. I have had to reinstall windows/change to a different user as a way to solve this.
The issue is still happening for me
this issue is also happening for me, along with weird rendering bugs.
This issue is still affecting me. It is super annoying and my roblox studio is affected by it too. It is painful to use any roblox program (its running super slow) and I have no idea why this is happening. Before it was normal and not running under google, now its randomly become always under google. I politely beg that it be fixed.
I think its a problem with bloxstrap actually. I closed it and it work normally now
Nope, never used bloxstrap and is still happens to me so
i mean good for you if you fixed it lol
I can confirm this is an actual bug. Bloxstrap gives a warning when the launcher is already open so I often have to end the task in order to join. If I launch it twice, it will open the last session client and only show it for a brief moments before closing it, and doing this same loop over again.
This doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s pretty frequent, it happens ~45% of the time.
This started happening to me about 1-2 weeks ago.
I’m also getting this issue for the past few weeks, also using bloxstrap.
I try playing roblox, and it opens in the background, so I have to try again. And after I close it, the bloxstrap icon is still on my taskbar, so I have to manually close roblox from there.
If I were to force-close the first instance that opens in the background, then successfully open roblox, then close it, then the icon won’t persist in my taskbar and roblox would actually be closed.
I’m having this issue. Roblox goes through the launching process, then the loader disappears but the game never opens.
The process is still open in the background, presumably hanging on something (memory usage not changing, no sign of anything happening)
I don’t use bloxstrap (I’m launching the roblox client directly/the normal way) however I have used it in the past and never uninstalled it (the launch prompt kept getting overwritten by Roblox with each update so I stopped bothering)
stiiiiilllll happening for me too
Lol, I just noticed this for Roblox Studio. I had to force-end Chrome via the task manager and found out it also closed Studio. Not sure what’s causing this.
Yeah, this looks… stupid, to put it bluntly.
Also, is it always appearing under whatever browser is open on the computer? Weird.
