Roblox microsoft version is stuck on initializing device

  1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
    I want to use the microsoft store version of roblox

  2. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
    It gets stuck on initiialising device and after a while it just closes

  3. What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Developer Hub?
    I have updated windows, drivers, and reinstalled roblox several times from the microsoft store, yet it’s still doing the same thing.

Have you tried to clear the Roblox AppData folder, or clearing your Temporary files?

How to clear your Roblox AppData file?

  1. Make sure both the normal Roblox launcher and Roblox Studio are uninstalled.
  2. Open up File Explorer and navigate to Window Disk (C:).
  3. Go to Users > (Your computer’s account user)
  4. Go to the “View” tab on the top of your screen, and check showing “Hidden items”.
  5. You should now see the AppData folder. Open it and navigate to the “Local” folder.
  6. Search for the Roblox folder there and delete the folder.

How to clear Temporary Files?

  1. Press Win + R on your keyboard to open up Run.
  2. Type in %temp% and hit Enter.
  3. Select all files in the Temporary folder and delete.

It’s best if you restart your device after deleting the above folders. After restarting, try installing Roblox from the Microsoft Store again.

If the issue persists, it might be something to do about your current software version, or just Roblox acting up for no reason.

it still didn’t work :frowning:
i have cleared the appdata and temporary files, yet it still has the same issues

Well, it might be something to do with your software. You can try updating it, but no guarantees that it might work.

my windows version is 22H2 if that helps in any way
I really hope it’s not because of it

Are you able to use the website launcher instead of Microsoft Store’s?

indeed, but i want the microsoft one for alt purposes. The web version works just fine

I have installed ms roblox on a fresh windows10 pro edition install and it still has the same issue

Select Roblox from the list and click on advanced options; Scroll down the page and click on Reset; Now try opening Roblox again
