Recently I redid the questionnaire for my tycoon game and was denied due to Roblox claiming that my run of the mill, low-poly tycoon game is a social hangout?
I decided to redo this questionnaire and was promptly denied for the exact same reason.
BUT MY GAME DOESN’T MEET EITHER CRITERIA, LET ALONE BOTH.
Now you might be thinking ‘oh just resubmit it for a third time, no problem!’, well:
I have literally nowhere else to go, and roblox is giving me 2 weeks to ‘properly fill the questionnaire’. If I did so today, according to them, my tycoon designed for players FIVE AND UP will become a 17+ game. Make it make sense.
Is it because my game allows voice chat? Is that a social hangout feature? If you know, please inform me.
Roblox has also already set the game’s maturity level to 13+, when it was at 5+ (mild violence, repeated), for weeks! My CCU + audience has been halved, and my revenue has tanked.
It looks like the maturity level is currently Unknown, not 13+ (although unrated experiences are only playable for 13+ users). And just to clarify, Social Hangouts without private spaces are Moderate / age-gated to 13+. If there are private spaces, it would make the experience Restricted / age-gated to ID-verified 17+.
Feel free to retake the questionnaire to answer according to what you think is right, and submit an appeal.
