[ROBLOX MUSIC VIDEOS] Bringing a New Style to the Platform Via A Lost Art

Hello everyone! If you don’t know me already, I am ZekeGBlox and I’ve been on ROBLOX since 2016!

I can’t script well, build well, animate well, make great gfx, etc…so what can I bring to the platform?

Let’s start from the beginning…

I joined Club Penguin back in 2011. From 2014 to 2016, I was actively uploading “Club Penguin Music Videos” monthly. I got great feedback on them from my viewers. I was able to reach a couple hundred subscribers despite the fact that the platform was starting to die out and I started making these videos towards the end of the game’s existence.

One of the first things I did when I joined ROBLOX is that I conducted a search on YouTube for “RMV” and “ROBLOX Music Video”. I was extremely surprised to see such a different style compared to mine. Many were animations with stories that came along with them. They also gained a lot more views compared to the ones I’ve made for Club Penguin. I was very fascinated by what I saw as I was totally expecting to see similar things to what I made on Club Penguin.

How exactly does your style differ from most ROBLOX Music Videos?

I’ve been working to master the art of making music videos via visuals that give the viewer entertainment through sound, visuals, and most importantly, the coordination of them: flashing during certain beats, having the visuals match the “tone” of the song. I use VEGAS Pro to make my music videos.

Ever since Club Penguin shut down in 2014, this style of making music videos became a lost art. I am hoping this “art” can be introduced to ROBLOX and creators worldwide will start using this style to create new ROBLOX Music Videos. Here is one of the few that I made on ROBLOX creations:

Sample:

Please kindly ignore the black parts and that the ending parts do not have effects: I did not finish what I wanted.

I also realized some of the lyrics are blurry, my apologies.

Viewer, I’d love if you could answer the following questions:

Do you believe that creators with this style of ROBLOX Music Video would become successful on YouTube?

  • Yes
  • No

Are there too many effects for your liking?

If I get lots of good feedback on this, I’ll start working on a full one in February. I hope you enjoyed this post and of course, the video sample I’ve decided to show you today.
