Roblox needs to rethink UGC’s future “features”

Today I can say that I make a living from Roblox. I not only support my family but also my mother’s and father’s families with the income that Roblox provides me.

I’ve experienced hunger and had no food at home; my electricity was cut off for more than 6 months, and I was on the verge of being evicted from my house…

When I discovered Roblox and the UGC program, it was my salvation. I was able to earn my livelihood from there, right in the midst of the pandemic when everyone was losing their jobs. I managed to generate income to maintain my home. My father had recently suffered a stroke, my mother lost her job, and my brother as well… Roblox and the DevEx earnings I obtained from it saved not only me but my entire family.

Today, I have an income, and I continue to support my family with it. With all the changes I’ve seen at the RDC, I’ve noticed that all the UGC creators who were already there, and who have contributed so much to the community and Roblox, could see their earnings and sales affected. We already pay 750 Robux per item, and now if our percentages are reduced from 30%, which is already low, to 10%, and there’s no kind of support or help, it could be the end…

I know they want to expand to everyone, but I believe they can’t forget those who have helped them so much during this UGC program. We went through processes and joined in waves, and now all of this is happening. I hope Roblox reconsiders this and doesn’t forget those of us who have been on this journey for a while, collaborating with them.

Today, I am sad, and I hope to never experience hardships again or stop helping my family with all these changes… I almost beg you to remember that from the UGC program, there are many who support their families. This would really harm us a lot.

I also feel sad that those of us who couldn’t attend didn’t receive any commemorative items. Please remember us.
