I’m on Microsoft Edge Windows 11, and suddenly Roblox stops working by launching on the browser. It’s done this before and I solved it with a reformat of my computer.
All it does is tell me to install ROBLOX.
I do not have high hopes that it will work but open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following command: sfc /scannow
You can also take a look at the task manager and see if a task related to Roblox is running. If so, shut it down.
Hey! I just did sfc /scannow (it did detect files and repaired them) but did not fix it.
I’ve been to the task manager before and all Roblox does is open and take up my resources.
This is under Background Processes, and no actual Roblox opens up under Apps.
It’s worth mentioning I have been having this problem in Chrome with launching Roblox Player and Studio. Usually, the player won’t do anything and I just have to reinstall Roblox to fix it. Then for Studio, I get a “this production channel is no longer available” or something along those lines; once again the solution is reinstalling for this as well. Also sometimes while launching the player I get HttpService: some error dialogs popping up and the game will fail to launch. Not sure if any of these are connected at all.
Hi @Aiden0o, thanks for bringing this up and thanks @atfdaj for creating a bug report.
Could you private message me the logs located at %localappdata%\Roblox\logs? If you could include the relevant log files based on the date, that would be great. Thank you!
