Roblox on desktop thinks im playing on mobile

The Roblox player believes that my laptop is a mobile device because it has a touch screen, and has disabled features such as shiftlock and instead treats experiences as if i am on mobile. Within a certain experience to help mobile players they enlarged the icons within the inventory to make it easier, showing further that the player is fully mistaking my device for a mobile one, however it still gives me the option to access the same menu as is usual for PC. I have deleted and reinstalled Roblox player multiple times and the issue did not get resolved. I believe the touchscreen feature of my laptop is possibly causing issues and confusing the Player, however earlier today it was working perfectly fine and had been for the past year

I have attached a link to a video which demonstrates what i have discussed: Watch Roblox 2025-08-05 20-03-15 | Streamable

Expected behavior

The shiftlock feature is disabled, so whenever i press the keybind it does not lock my avatars rotation like it should. Additionally when i move using WASD, the camera tilts in the direction i am moving slightly, as is typical on the mobile version of the app.

Hi! Thank you for reporting this – we’ve rolled back the flag that we identified to cause this.

For future-proof cross-platform development, we recommend detaching any assumptions that TouchEnabled infers players are on a small mobile screen by using our new PreferredInput API: [Client Beta] Introducing PreferredInput and Improved Touch Capabilities!
