Roblox Player crashes almost immediately when entering games

I’ve just recently encountered this problem. After I load into a game, my screen will freeze for a moment and the player just closes itself. I don’t get any error message at all. This happens when I try to play using the website and the application as well. I’ve even tried the Roblox Windows app, and this also occurs; however, Studio seems to be unaffected. I’ve already tried to fix this several times, including completely reinstalling Roblox, but none of them have worked.

You can contact Roblox Support @ Roblox Support

Make sure to select your device.

Though they probably will tell you the following things:

  • What is your download and upload speeds? (Mbps)
  • What graphics card are you running
  • What CPU are you using
  • Does Roblox use a high amount of % for the CPU, Memory, Disk or Network (via task manager)

Etc.

My recommendation:

If you’re wanting to try a last ditch effort at solving the issue, here’s my recommendation, uninstall Roblox Client & Roblox Studio, plus the installers, then completely clear all data in these areas:

  • RegEdit (HKEYs, etc)

And

→ This PC → Windows (C:) → Users → [Your username] → AppData → Local, then search for Roblox.

Also,
→ This PC → Windows (C:) → Users → [Your username] → AppData → LocalLow

Then restart your PC.

Then reinstall a fresh version of the Roblox Installer by clicking the play button on any game and following the download process, then setup via there, relogin, and attempt to play.

Sorry, no Mac tutorial for any Mac user that may see this in the future! ;c

Still having issues?

I’ve done this before for Critical/Unsolvable errors I’ve encountered, works most of the time, keep in mind you could be having an issue I can’t fix (as I’m not a roblox engineer, so if it persists, contact Roblox Support for the best support.)

Thank you! This seems to have worked.
