It appears in task manager for like 3-6 seconds then dissapears again.
no GUI/UI appears, reinstalling didnt fix it and neither did updating drivers of both GPU and CPU.
The microsoft store version DOES work and so does Studio, thankfully.
I heard people say before that this might have been due to windows 11 24h2 which IS the update I am on and cannot revert from anymore.
it was working fine until the 19th of march until it suddenly stopped working, which is why I doubt its a microsoft issue.
I genuinely hope ROBLOX can fix this issue as the microsoft store version isn’t the best and it hinders development on a game I’m working on significantly.
reverted to Windows 11 update 22H2 and ROBLOX works again.
and better for some reason.
anyway, I dont recommend the rollback option if you have alot of files you care about and stuff.
else it does work, you can find the older ISO files on the web but be careful with it.
Right so the last post WASN’T the actual problem and wasn’t the proper solution either.
had the SAME EXACT ISSUE later after installing a piece of software my VR Headset requires.
turns out the new version of this software (PimaxPlay Version 1.37) made ROBLOXPLAYER.EXE crash constantly upon startup.
Rolled back to version 1.29 of PimaxPlay and now ROBLOX works, same for my VR.
If RobloxPlayer will not boot for some random reason, check some of your apps to if they updated recently and try uninstalling the ones that did until RobloxPlayer.exe boots properly again.
Reinstalling the OS should always be a last resort, albeit in my case was better to roll back to and older OS update anyway due to Win11 24H2 being VERY unstable.
TL;DR: try uninstalling any recently updated apps if you are having the same issues I had.
