i was also having this problem…im in florida, yet i used to be connecting to korea sometimes. i just completely signed out, logged in and turned off my wifi for a second and it kinda works for me
Don’t expect to always be connected to California servers. I get servers located in other states all the time. I wish I could connect to European servers to better my relations with them.
I think it should be an option for developers to enable region-only based queueing unless that’s already underway. For games like Rivals, I find that it’s not fun to queue sometimes when I’m consistently placed in servers where everyone except for one person has >200 ping lmao…
Though I do understand that it might not be best for multiplayer if players join servers with less players when queueing in the same region and decide to leave.
I don’t know much about this topic so please correct me on any misunderstandings, thanks.
With me It seems to happen more often at peak hours, and it’s weekend, I’m in South America and the closest server we have currently is in Florida, it has to accomodate to both local american residents, and the countries to the south of it (desconsidering Mexico), it should be a lot of players for just 1 server region, I can only imagine, then the game just decides to give me servers that are further away, newer servers were also created away from me aswell, by rejoining alone I couldn’t join any Florida server, a built-in server browser that could be sorted by location would be a good help already, but otherwise all I can do is wait until 2026 when they’ll release the South American server and hope it can house everyone in here
