Roblox Rights Manager help

Hi,

I’ve recently verified on Roblox Rights Manager and I have a few questions if someone could assist me with.

How is overall ownership perceived here? I don’t see a option on Rights Manager to add my assets.

1 - Does it take into account assets in my inventory?
2 - Do I only submit removal when I see my assets used / stolen? if so what’s stopping someone else for falsely reporting me i.e if we have freelancers
3 - How do I upload and declare my content without submitting a removal?

Hey! Rights Manager is a tool to make DMCA takedowns easier & faster (as opposed to sending lots of emails through the copyright agent). This is not something you add to your assets.

  1. Yes, the “Link to your creation” verifies if you’re the owner or group owner automatically.

  2. Yes, if you notice stolen work and strongly believe it infringes your copyright, you can submit a takedown. Generally, work created within a group is assumed owned by the group owner, but to legally defend you from freelancer’s claims, you should have a Assignment of Copyright clause in your freelancer’s agreement.

  3. Roblox does not have a tool to declare ownership of assets to actively prevent reuploads. At the moment, you cannot do this.
