As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to know every update that is done to the site and when they are live.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because I will have a place to find updates to the website and Roblox itself.
My Experience
Okay, I know this is past now but I was just informed that everyone can join 100 groups… I looked on the Developer Forum and the Roblox Blog and I never saw anything properly about this update coming to the Roblox Website. Also, if any developer or average player wants to know what updates have been uploaded to Roblox’s website or even to everything Roblox related… there is no place to find that on the main website.
Issues
The issue I see is that the casual Roblox player doesn’t know about the updates when they happen, or they don’t even know about said update until a week, to three months or later.
The Idea
My idea is quite simple in theory. One tab that would be called Site Updates or Roblox Updates. This is where all updates that happen to Roblox’s website and other Roblox changes can be viewed. So, kind of like an announcement tab for everything and anything Roblox changes. This doesn’t have to include very small things but core components could be put here.
Why
Here are my three reasons this should be added.
- This would give the player a more interactive role as they would know everything from the Website and for anything that gets posted to the DevForum already for things such as Studio updates, you could add links to these said post which would encourage people to come take a look.
- This would be a good spot to post any type of site changes that are being made that the casual Roblox player would want to know.
- This could also be used to address certain topics, announce an upcoming event or make a poll for everyone to answer.
- This would spread the news about Roblox changes and it would be logged in one place.
