Roblox Studio at 0 fps (apparently) when the window is out of focus

How can I make roblox studio’s window stay at high (144) fps even when it’s not in focus? I’m trying to playtest with multiple players but with low fps on the other client’s window makes this difficult and I’m trying to get this issue fixed first before I do anything else.

Roblox studio diagnostics bar shows “0” fps, though the frames do update, they update very slowly that it’s hard to work with. It doesn’t have to be during a play test, I see the fps counter at 0 when it’s out of focus in general.

I’ve attached a video: look at the diagnostics bar at the bottom of the roblox studio windows for the fps counter.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling roblox studio, and turning off the fps background limiter in nvidia control panel, both of which didn’t work.

System info:

Windows 11 Pro
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
RTX 3060
16GB

Not a bug. This is intended to save memory usage.

Any idea how to still get more fps/turn it off then? I remember this not being an issue like a year ago…

I doubt there being any workaround as roblox does this for your good.

This is because it’s the roblox studio fps counter, i recommend you make your own

The fps counter isn’t the issue here. Though the video doesn’t really show the low fps ingame, it’s really noticeable for me. I’m asking for a fix to the fps ingame.

Found a workaround! I remembered rbxfpsunlocker has a setting to unlock roblox studio’s fps, so i did just that and now both windows play smoothly.
Maybe this is what I used last time and I just forgot cause of the inbuilt fps unlocker roblox has now.
