When ever I try to open studio it would either get a black screen the whole screen for 5 seconds and not open or give a unrecoverable error, closing out and blue screening my laptop.
The blue screen errors range from ‘MEMORY MANAGEMENT’ to ‘TRYING TO WRITE READONLY MEMORY’
my laptop is 12 years old with windows 10 and 8 gb of ram, any idea what’s causing this?
It’s likely that your laptop is too old to run Roblox Studio. Since it’s 12 years old, even with 8GB of RAM, if your laptop is too slow then it will cause an error. I recommend you get a new laptop unfortunately.
Well this is late response from me, sorry. Well the issue is really happening with every mostly graphics apps like blender and video games, I wanted to delete this post because I found out that I can’t, I’m still currently trying to find the route of the cause as after consulting a technician there’s nothing wrong with the hardware, also I’m pretty sure it isn’t because my laptop is old as old apps that ran perfectly fine but now are bricked without even updating.
do you have up-to-date graphics drivers? you mentioned all sorts of rendering based apps not working, so i can only assume that your old laptop is still on some outdated technology that modern apps like blender, studio and some games dont support anymore.
Honestly, the only method I tried is uninstalling the graphics drivers from device manager and restarting windows for it to Auto install them. I haven’t tried anything else.
