Roblox studio crashes on startup

I just added an SSD to my PC and upgraded from Win7 to Win8.

Problem is, whenever I try to open Roblox Studio, it ends up with a:

And if I run it as admin, I get this…

I reinstalled multiple times, restarted PC - nothing.

Try running the Roblox Studio process as an administrator (Right click > Run as Administrator)

I did…

The Roblox install directory is empty.

Can you give me details about your SSD?
brand and type etc.

I assume you did a clean install on your SSD with Win8?
Question barrage incoming;

What works and what doesn’t exactly?
I know Windows 8 is a bitch with roblox.

Are you the only user/administrator on your pc?
If not you should fix that

try deleting the folders manually from the folders and AppData and then perform a reinstall.
sometimes it does not delete all the folders in AppData regarding roblox in Local, LocalLow and Roaming.

If AppData isn’t visible, make it visible by right clicking properties (of AppData) and give yourself full permissions in the security tab for the folder and its sub-folders.

If you don’t know how to find AppData just go to the search bar in the Windows 8 start menu and type in “%appdata%” without the quotations.

Let me know if any of these options does the trick for you, try to combine them as well.
This is mainly why I stick with Windows 7 until Win10 comes around.

I’ve tried fully cleaning Roblox from appdata and all… Didn’t help.

I can play Roblox games, but with studio…

As I reinstall Roblox, the Roblox directory appears in program files, filled with files and such. I try to run studio regularly, it says it crashed unexpectedly and that’s all… But when I run it as administrator - it clears the contents of the Roblox directory in program files and then says it couldn’t find files. I can still play games however at this point.

Can you manually start the file by going to your directory and start the application ? It seems that the Shortcut is broken (A extra )

If the shortcut was broken, I wouldn’t get Roblox crash messages.
Anyways, I tried that too.

Try copying your AppData\Roblox directory to be C:\Program Files\Roblox, then run as administrator.

Try to download studio directly.

Are you still having this issue?

If so, please send me the studio installer logs in %temp% folder, look for the RBX-#####.log files, clear out old files first before installing.
