Hello!
Every time I playtest my game, Roblox studio crashes, and I have no idea why.
I have checked my scripts for a loop without a wait, but there are none. This happens in every game that I’m making. Any suggestions/support would be appreciated!

Is there anything happening inside of the console? Any errors in there?

I think it just freezes before the game starts so I wouldn’t be able to see any errors. There have been times where it works perfectly fine, and no lag or anything in game. It’s only the start of playtesting. I haven’t seen any error in output.

Does Studio stop responding whenever it crashes? If not, you can check the output after the game stops. Then you’ll be able to see errors and whatnot that happened inside of the playtest.

Unfortunately, it just completely stops responding, and the only way I can close it is through task manager.

I’ve never encountered this before, maybe your graphics aren’t set to the right setting (which I don’t think would make it crash,) or scripts. One last thing I’ll recommend to do, try making a new baseplate. If it still crashes with NO scripts, then it’s probably Studio.

It stops on the loading screen. Just tried it in a new baseplate and it froze.
Edit: I think I’ve heard something about these plugin viruses, and I’m not exactly sure if it would be that…

Well, if you’re going to test that out, temporarily disable all your plugins, and then try it out. If it still crashes I don’t know what to say.

Are all your divers up to-date? Have you tried uninstalling Roblox Studio? It might either be Studios problem or your computers problem.

It could be a malicious plugin that is injecting something into your games. I recommend you look at every plugin you have and make sure they’re trustworthy and safe.

I’m having this issue too. It was perfect last night, and today after not touching anything it decides to crash when I play test.
Happens in every studio ^^

Bumping this too. It’s extremely hard to playtest my game because every time I try it, studio crashes. As of typing this, my roblox studio has crashed over 12 times in a row. The only way I can actually playtest the game now is by publishing it, which will not allow me to see the explorer. It’s very strange because for me some studios never crash at all, while others crash very frequently…
Is it while playtesting the normal way or is it playtesting with a server and multiple clients?
