Roblox Studio File access Issue on Windows 11

My Roblox Studio isn’t saving properly, especially during autosave. Every time it tries to autosave, it gives me an error and asks if I want to turn off autosave, but I’m not sure what to do.

This problem started after I made a new user on Windows 11 called “secondary.” I did this to organize my desktop, and once everything was moved, I deleted my old user account. After deleting it, I saw that my old account name was still in the file path “C:\Users,” so I deleted it, thinking it wouldn’t cause any issues.

Now, it seems like Roblox Studio is still using information from my old user account, even though I’m using the “secondary” user.

Another strange thing is that a message pops up behind the autosave window, saying I don’t have permission for the path “C:\Users\Secondary\Documents\ROBLOX\AutoSaves.” I tried creating the necessary folders manually, but it didn’t fix the problem.

I could reinstall Roblox Studio, but I’m worried about losing my settings. Any advice on how to fix this would be really helpful.

I had this problem too but it went deeper than this where the entire roblox file was corrupted and when i tried loading an autosave this happened
i unfortunately do not have a solution

Interesting, thank you for this input.

Is controlled folder access disabled on Windows Defender under virus and protection settings?

Also see if your documents folder has a file named Roblox (or AutoSaves inside of it) instead of a folder. If you can’t find it, Also make sure to disable hiding protected system files and enabling showing hidden files. If you didn’t find it, try to change the auto save location to somewhere else.

Controlled folder access is toggled on for me, should I disable this?

No file named “Roblox”, other than the folder I created to attempt to fix the issue.

Yea, turn off controlled folder access
