Roblox Studio is crashing when I try to create a new file

Roblox Studio is crashing when I try to create a new file. Before I was able to bypass the crash, by not using the “File” > “New” button. But now I can’t even create a new Place from a Baseplate Template.

How can I fix this issue and why is it happening?

There’s no crash window when it crashes, it just freezes.

Ah. I thought I would have been the only one. I don’t understand though, why was I able to create Places with without pressing “New”, but the Baseplate Template button, and now I can’t even do Baseplate Template button anymore.

I am trying to figure out where the “Baseplate Template” is stored at, but apperantly it’s on a Roblox Asset page?

Because I wanted to just copy its rbxl file and create an empty place like that.

Where is the rbxlx documentation?

Anyways, this here creates a empty file, it’s very empty. I am not sure if it is missing anything though.

u can fix this issue by creating a new file from roblox studio it self, idk why this is happening but I hope they can fix this asap

When i use studio i open app then choose baseplate

It loads with this DataModel:Load

though I don’t think it is working

It happen to me when wifi bad sometime i uninstall studio then reinstall

I successfully was able to create a Baseplate Template without Roblox Studio freezing.

But how to do it with DataModel:Load?

Okay, I found out that the Client Side Console in Studio when the game is running, can run this

game:Load("http://www.roblox.com/asset/?id=95206881")

otherwise, the server side one can not run this

why?

However, this does load the template, but the thing is, if you stop the game, it’s gone. And copy pasting each of the instances one by one, might be not ideal, let’s assume it would be a different template with more stuff.

However, the spawnlocation is missing though
