Roblox studio is pretty laggy all of a sudden

roblox studios recently been averaging around 20fps which i just cant work with, and its peak is around 30fps when im not looking at anything

changing studio graphics level or mode doesnt change anything, occlusion culling only makes it slightly better (like 3-4fps). ive also removed plugins that im not using anymore and that hasnt done anything.

dont really know what these mean but i would think this could be helpful

i know 100k parts is a lot, but what i find weird is that only a few months ago there were around 180k parts and it was running butter smooth at around 50-60fps

is there screen tearing?
I had this issue yesterday and I fixed it by turning off full screen optimizations
if you are using windows
right click on Roblox studio and click on properties and then general and disable full screen optimizations

i cant find that setting but i just found out that studio runs perfectly fine at 60fps when im playing a roblox game at the same time

edit: its only smooth if i launch roblox first then open up the studio file. if its the other way around then its still laggy

[this may(not can) solve the issue]

click on this

and then this

and enable this

it was smooth for me if I run Roblox studio while recording my screen

found the setting but ive only gained maybe 2 or 3 fps. still averaging around 19-20fps

I happen to also have this issue before. For some reason Roblox Studio keeps using the integrated GPU as default and it insists about that since using Windows to force the usage of the dedicated GPU doesn’t seem to work. Doing it in the NVIDIA driver settings doesn’t fix it either. The only way I fixed it is by completely disabling the integrated GPU.

figured out the issue. medal was just sucking the life out of roblox studio for some reason, ending the task in task manager brought everything back to 60 fps.
