ROBLOX Studio Not Functioning Properly On Local Files?

ROBLOX Studio not functioning the way it’s meant to be.
The script editor is not showing errors, not allowing autocompletion, doesn’t close properly whenever I’m in a Local File instead of an actual ROBLOX Place.

Yet it works as intended on properly uploaded places.
Everything worked hours before, yet it decided to not work properly anymore.
It’s odd, and rather nitpicky and very frustrating to experience.

My ROBLOX Studio Version is 0.656.0.6560679.

The file is 39mb, exceeding the 10mb upload limit.

Expected behavior

The Script Editor to work as intended, despite being a local file.
To close properly as it always should without the need of Task Manager.

Thank you again for the report. We tried to reproduce this and were not able to, so we need some extra info about these issues.

  1. Does this still happen?
  2. If it does, can you please send us the logs for your local and TC Studio sessions in a Private message.
  3. Does it happen only on one file or all of them for you?
  4. If it’s possible, can you also send us (one of the) the file(s)?

Sorry for the late reply, was busy with midterms and college. Anyway, the issue was solved when I turned off a beta feature, specifically the “New Luau type solver.” As of now, I’ve turned it on again to see if I could replicate this issue once more, and lo and behold, it was indeed the issue for me for some reason.

The New Type Solver is being improved, so it’s possible that the issue you saw is gone by now. In any case, please let us know if you see this again.
