Roblox Studio Themes

Roblox Studio already has support for changing colors in the code editor, but not really for the entire program itself. I suggest themes get implemented either you can choose from a preset of themes that the Roblox Team makes or allow players to do it themselves. This is just more or less of a convenience for developers.

For example, for me personally I prefer darker themed interfaces. It makes it easier on my eyes and doesn’t strain them as much. I think many developers would appreciate being able to style Studio in their own way that suits them best.

a dark theme would be pretty cool

I accomplished this with a custom WIn7 theme a while back, but have since changed back to default:

That method works, but it isn’t very practical since many people would rather not change their entire Windows theme for simply one program.

A dark theme would indeed be cool, though I actually don’t mind studio being the light shade it is.

It might be possible since its QT.

I WOULD LOVE THIS

After staring at a white screen for a long time, I get headaches and my eyes strain. But when I use other programs where I make the theme darker like Unity’s Dark Theme, it makes it so I can code longer and it doesn’t hurt your eyes after extensive use. I would love if this were to become a feature.

I could think off 1,000,000 things we need before cosmetic updates, like a colour picker and material picker tool in Ribbon for starters.
I don’t think this would be a worthwhile investment, because bright UIs are nice.

#killjoy anyway.

Whether bright UIs are nice or not is very subjective. I think bright UIs are pretty terrible compared to dark UIs.

There’s always going to be a feature that may be more desired than the next, but that’s not the point. The point of a suggestion is an idea on how to improve the experience within Roblox. This is more than a cosmetic update. The style/color of the UI can directly affect how you work in the environment such as Buddy’s post. Eye strain from bright UIs may force you to stop when with darker themes you could work on your project a lot longer with reduced eye strain.
