Roblox studio (what I get in my studio window vs. what I get in play testing)

So, I’ve been building a map with just cylinders and it was working great on the building window, that was until I play tested it. I’ll attach images so you can see the issue.
This is what it looked like building it:

This is what it looked like play-testing it.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong here…is it an anchoring issue? collision issue? I’d love some help! Thanks.

It seems that the parts are unanchored, and when the game starts calculating physics, the parts jump up so they’re not clipping into each other. Select all of the parts and use the Properties menu to ensure that they’re all anchored.

Hey! So from these pictures the solution that I think is the problem would be your parts aren’t anchored. You can anchor them from selecting all your parts/cylinders and clicking the model tab on the top window, then selecting Anchor. Or of course going in the properties tab and enabling the anchor property.

Edit : if this doesn’t work respond and I can try coming up with another solution.

Thank you both, it worked perfectly:

Glad I could be of assistance!

While I’m on here do you mind helping me solve another problem?

Also I’d like to point out if you have a NPC and you try to anchor it to keep a part in the hand or on there head just for example it won’t work due to the fact It’s not welded Quenty has a good weld script.

Here’s my second problem:
So I’m building my first house:

But every time I play test this happens:

So I tried to create a union with the floor of the house but this happened:

Image three

The last image shows my avatar climbing up an invisible incline and this weird shadow appeared.

Is this another anchoring issue or is this something else?

If you have a new topic please post into another post. Yes It’s also an issue with not being anchored. Any time something falls over check anchored.

Thanks for the help. Actually it turned out to be the same topic and solution so it all worked out in the end.
Why does that weird shadow show up anyway?

That’s what happens to my avatar on the shadow.

Like I said new topic but that’s because when you’re in a room and no lights are on It’s dark Roblox runs on a realistic lighting engine.
