Roblox Topic: Robux-Earning Game

(Side Note: This message is talking about what I am essentially here for: developping my dream games, if you want to skip the explanation, then go after the three emojis.)

"I have always dreamt about horror and sci-fi games, they are just so thrilling to me and loves playing games that give a thrilling experience!
That’s why I imagined two games that would be themed around theses two themes. There is a game that has already started for a year and is still in developpement and the other has started in august 2019.
The problem is that, I never have the time because I’m not someone who develops often because of my age and what I have to do theses days, I’m not motivated enough to actually complete thoses games because even if they are fun to make they take just as long as animating and I am often busy trying to make art for other groups, art in general.

Now, talking about busy, in order to complete thoses games that I have always imagined for the fun of it and never have the time to: I need other people. And if I want to add voices, adds, badges… I need robux.
Now, a quick question: Why do I need both of thoses specifically?
For all theses functions like voices, adds, paying the people who help me…essentially needs to be provided robux.
And to get robux I thought that I could make an original game involving fighting that could help me get enough robux to focus on my dream games!"

:smiley::smiley::smiley:

Now, the main point of this message is, I need people to tell me what they would think about my decisions on the robux-earning game: Is the fighting theme fitting? Will it be popular enough? Will it be ORIGINAL enough?

It’s for you robloxians to tell me but there are questions that wasn’t quoted out: *“What style will the game have? What will be special about this game? Will the game cost robux to be played?
What name will the game have? How much robux do you want to earn from this game?”

The style of the game will be between a cartoony and a anime style.

For the popularity of the game, it depends on how original it is. It’s maybe not original for a fighting-type of game, but it may be original for the style of the game, the functions it will have… …and so on.

Will it cost robux to be played ? I don’t know, depends on the days and effort will be put into it.

What name will it have? I decided “The Brawlies”, what do you think?

And lastly, the estimated quota I want to earn from the game will be 10k robux, for a start.

That’s it for now, the next message will be about the main character of the robux-earning game what kind of people I want to have in my future team of developpers and what functions the game and future characters will have.

If you’re only aiming for 10k then your concept will be fine provided it is implemented well (no game breaking bugs, easy to use, clear and concise instruction, good UI, etc).

Obviously it depends on what you choose to monetise and how you monetise it. There are popular games with 0 monetisation other than VIP servers, which obviously earn less than an equally popular game with more in-game monetisation included.

It is possible to create a huge game with no funding at all. Live-OPs is always a thing too! Create the bare minimum of a game, monetize it, and that money can be used to fund the game to add things you can’t do yerself.

In all honesty…
No, it’s not a good idea to let people design a game for you. You should be the one doing that. Right now feedback at this stage would be pointless. No one has foresight to be able to tell if your idea will be successful or not. Create the prototype and playtest it, you’ll find the answer yourself.

Gauging originality to popularity is a good intuition. Not that many developers here value that.

I had to reread this post multiple times, unreadable that it was hard to understand. I probably mistook you sometimes, half that time I couldn’t understand what you were referring too. My comment probably doesn’t match with what you want, that’s what I understood.

Yes, I understand, I don’t know if Live-Ops will be canceled at all because of what has been presented to Live-Ops, but okay.

I don’t let people design the game for me, I’m an artist and I already have an idea of what I want the game’s maps to have (also not a bad builder), there are just things I’m not good at, no-one is perfect at everything. For example, scripting. I’m not very good at scripting, I’m only a beginner at that and a scripter would be a lot of help to put all the functions in the game properly (when all the animations, guis, images would be added) and make it work properly.

Excuse me, I’m quite of a complicated girl when it comes to detailed and seriously written things, I tend to go all out and make a forest out of it, so people can get easily lost sometimes.

Anyways, thank you for sharing your thoughts, a very constructive comment that might help me in the future.
