ROBLOX Translation Center

Hi,

ROBLOX only has 2 languages implemented: English and German

There should be more, and I have a solution to this:

The ROBLOX Translation Center.

Twitter has something similar to this, which allows users to select the language they are fluent with and translate it.

There could also be “group moderators”, which moderate the translations and if one of them are good, they can be sent to ROBLOX for adding.

This would help users be able to contribute to making new languages made on ROBLOX if they speak in another language.

But the real question is: Do you really want to outsource your translation needs to foreign kids?

As Arceus said, they shouldn’t outsource translations to random kids. Instead, asking experienced developers to translate the website to their native language would work better.

ROBLOX definitely needs a Dutch version!

True, we need a Dutch version.

Maybe RBXDev members who have nothing to do or are bored can maybe translate some things.

I dont see translating the site as very useful until the games themselves are translated.

Even if you made a fancy API for translations and forced all devs to use it, it still wouldnt be enough. Roblox is a social game and if you cant communicate with other people you will ruin the game if it requires any sort of cooperation or interaction with others. Youd need to put each language into its own bubble. So for each game youd have a set of open servers for each language.

It’s better to assume everybody speaks English. Since we script in English. Games we play are English “New round is starting soon!”.
