Roblox UWP crashes after 2-3 seconds of startup

I have a typical problem like everyone else - Roblox UWP refuses to work, but the fact is that I did PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING I FOUND ON THE INTERNET, ON YOUTUBE AND ON THE FORUM, nothing helped me, along with this, in trying to fix Roblox, I broke down Windows 10 due to system updates. I have done for now:
All reboots, solution methods through Microsoft Store
All reboots, solution methods with the Roblox app
Updating the system, the necessary packages for the game
Using Roblox with a local account
Almost ALL the methods that are on the Internet
I’m already desperate to demolish the system and install a new one, but I’m too lazy and I don’t want to bother for the game, especially since a month ago it worked fine, but when I reinstalled it, it started to crash : (

Roblox won’t even launch for me on browsers

it may be worth reaching out to Roblox support or Microsoft support for further assistance

I already applied a week ago, Microsoft said that need to contact the developers, and Roblox ignores

Same thing happening to me. Did you ever fix this issue?

I fixed this by clearing the Roblox logs I believe

And how exactly did you do that?
I’m in the same situation as the OP, tried all methods except for clearing logs.

The web client app works just fine but the UWP crashes after “Checking for Updates”.
I have updates paused on my windows machine, maybe that’s the problem?
If so, I’ll try looking for a solution based on that regard.

And for anyone responding to this reply, please do not ask why I have it paused, or suggest “jUsT uNpaUse uPdatEs”

Thanks in advance for whoever is responding to this.

Hello! This solution may or may not work. I re-found the reddit post that helped me. My problem was roblox would say it was launching, then it never would and get stuck on the “download roblox now” UI.

This is what the reddit post said, when followed it worked for me. (Legit no idea why):

  1. Open Roblox Studio
  2. Go to the options
  3. Now go to Network
  4. Under “Diagnostics”, make sure these boxes are checked (If you dont have all this options checked what you have  ):

Print events

Print instances

Print physics errors

Print properties

Print keys

  1. Now close Roblox Studio

  2. Do Windows + R -----------------(Opens Windows run window)

  3. Copy and paste or type the following without the quotation marks: “% localappdata% \ Roblox \ logs”

  4. Go to the logs folder and delete all files ------------------(Recommendation: Copy these files somewhere incase this solution does noting, just to be on the safe side.)

  5. Reboot your computer ---------------(Optimal? Maybe?)

  6. Launch Roblox

Do be carful not to delete anything other than these files, if you decide to try this. Apparently this was given by roblox support, but I’m not claiming it actually is. Now it has been a while since this worked, and I don’t even know if you have the same problem.

Also, if this does not work, I can give you the reddit thread that has a whole bunch of solutions that people say work.

Definitely do that,
So others can use this same solution

Sadly did not work for me, but I do have some points I want to point out:

LOGS REALATED

  • Deleting logs shouldn’t harm/damage anything. This is because logs are basically the output you get in roblox studio console, just stored in text files. And just like that console, it is used for trouble shooting.
  • Enabling these options in studio (Studio Settings>Network>Diagnostics) shouldn’t do anything. This is just to get some “sample” logs to be generated to the %localappdata%/Roblox/logs directory. And usually there are already logs in the roblox logs directory.

REGISTRY RELATED

I think why creating a new local account works for other people, and it likely is because of some settings in the windows registry or the roblox appdata directory.
I’m just hypothesizing this, because this is the only logical solution/reason for why this solution works.
Haven’t tried this out yet, I will begin now. I hope this helps some people in understanding this problem, and how to solve it (by safely removing the appdata directory and windows registry keys)
