Yes, I said 1k, but for those who don’t know, I am basically saying 1024x1024. My problem is that the quality is too low for logos with detail that could matter, here is an example:

There seems to be a very noticeable difference in quality and bothers me a lot. That photo is only 429KB so it shouldn’t be much of a problem to the Roblox servers that save the data, especially because of the fact that a 1 terabyte ssd that is PCIE5.0 is only around $100. So Roblox, why can’t we have average sized logos?
I mean, back when roblox was first created, I think most computers didn’t have very good pixel resolution. This could totally not be why this is, btw, im just assuming. But I agree, better quality for logos and 2D clothing would be cool
It is not 2006 anymore. Besides, 1024x1024 has been the maximum image size for a while now. Why wouldn’t game icons be able to be that size too? However, support for 8k resolution for images and textures is in the works.
make sure you sharpen your images on export from your program of choice. when working any type of thumbnail work its importing to know the size.

i’m pretty sure the reason they have this limit is because its on the web and they want the webpage to load smooth on all devices
I get they’re trying to do 8k, but why would they wait SOOOO long to do this? I encountered a post during the summer from around 2017 asking for 8k images. ITS 2024 ROBLOX, WHERE WERE YOU?
