ROBLOXCRITICAL Can't open any published places from studio after new update, and now studio crashes

I’ve only seen this today / this morning. If it’s been happening all week that may be a separate issue…

But Google has engineers working around the clock to rectify those issues ASAP. The issue here, from what I’m seeing, is that Roblox staff haven’t even noticed.

They will once they wake up - this will be a lovely welcome present once they reach the office

Hey guys, let’s try to keep this thread as noise-free as possible. Refrain from “are the engineers up yet?”, “me too”, and general discussion not related to the issue.

I hope they revert back to an older version for now…I got some deadlines this weekend for deving.

I doubt the issue has anything to do with the update, it started occurring long after it was released.

I think this issue has to do with the update. My roblox studio was working perfectly fine before the update. I came across this bug when I closed the place and tried opening another one.

It was affecting datastores, httpservice and other Roblox services. I don’t think an update to Roblox Studio would cause that. Additionally, the issue wasn’t occurring until a couple of hours after the release. We’ll wait and see though, I could be wrong.

There was nothing for Roblox to test, it wasn’t the update that broke it. Sometimes code and systems just crash. It’s just unfortunate that it happened while no staff were awake.

I can also agree with this - after the update I was still able to edit my places and this issue didn’t start happening for me until this morning.

Rip… Now affects me too.

I can confirm I’ve also been affected by the issue starting this morning.

Feel free to suggest it outside of the thread or bring it up with cs/devrelations, however posting it here won’t do much, like @buildthomas said the thread should be kept on topic to allow the team to easily sort through the information posted. Not many of us know the specifics of how Roblox operates internally, so for all we know there may be staff on as it is, however you can be rest assured that the engineers would fix this as soon as possible.

Just a note that I am able to open locally saved RBXL files. But like others I cannot open any of my published games.

I can’t even open local files at the moment

Yeah - considering the error for opening a place says “please connect to the internet” and the actual error in the place is an HTTP 500 error (which means something is wrong on ROBLOX’s end) it definitely appears to be a client-to-host / connection problem.

I am experiencing this as well:
