    • Introduction

    What is a Myth?

    A myth is a story or fictional/imaginary thing. Keeping this in mind, there is technically no such thing as a wannabe or “edgy-tryhard”. If they have a story, they’re a myth.

    What makes a Myth?

    Generally, most myths follow the same basic outline. They all have a story to tell, able to tell said story coherently and in a way that keeps players interested, and be somewhat mysterious. Following these guidelines, anyone could be a Myth.

    What’s the difference between a fake and real myth?

    There is no such thing as a “fake” or “real” myth. The difference is how they portray their story. Popular myths are popular because they’re able to tell a good story, interesting, and are able to get the hunters attention. Technically, all myths are fake.

    What is a hunt/Myth Hunt?

    It’s a group activity where we come together as fellow hunters to try and discover new information or put pieces together of a myths place. It could be from following breadcrumbs a myth has left or as simple as translating audible morse code into a message.

    Group Rules & Offenses


    Penalties
    • First Offense: WARN
    • Second Offense: DEMOTION
    • Third Offense: SUSPENSION


    1. Do not spam/abuse the wall Spam is considered to be more than two messages posted consecutively. Even if it’s an important message, it will be deleted. Posts containing same/similar message will also be deleted. Do not advertise on the group wall, it will be deleted. Do not host hunts on the group wall, use the group shout.

    2. Shout Abuse Shout abuse includes posting things such as QOTD, personal updates, advertising, and unrelated/off-topic things (this includes hosting a hunt/hangout at your own game). Don’t copy someones hunt shout. Leave shouts up for at least 15 minutes to an hour! Do not shout out your own myth or your friend's myth, either. Don’t overshout an HR’s shout that has [!] Please include a link in a shout that’s hosting a hunt. Shout abusing results in an immediate demotion.

    3. Don’t self-advertise Self-advertising includes, but is not limited to shouting your own game/myth, a myth game you helped work on, shouting your friends game/myth, linking/promoting a group, and more.

    4. Do not begin drama with others Starting/spreading rumors, participating in witch hunts, needless harassment and spreading/starting false accusations is considered drama. If you have a problem with somebody, PM an HR about it. Don’t witch hunt someone. Actions out of the group can impact your rank in RMH.

    5. Don’t be offtopic or inappropriate! Don’t post offtopic things. This includes discussing something unrelated to a hunt or myth. Some inappropriate things you shouldn’t post are “does anyone care if i leave??”. Don’t pick fights or seek attention from others.

    6. Respect everyone. Don’t Harass/Threaten others. Don’t harass others, and respect everyone, in and out of the group. If you don’t agree with someone, RESPECTFULLY let them know.

    7. Don’t Admin Abuse Falsely promoting/demoting is punishable. If you promote/demote someone purposefully without good reason, you’re admin abusing. Additionally, use of force against people in the RMH Town/Headquarters with use of weapons, admin commands, etc, is admin abuse.

    Group Ranks & Promotions

    DISCLAIMER: Meeting requirements does not guarantee a promotion! In addition, sending multiple apps will not rank you up quicker. Refrain from sending multiple applications at a time. If you have been demoted, refrain from resubmitting for a week. You will be blacklisted for sending multiple applications.

    Myth Seeker: A seeker of myths, a newcomer or returning member of the group!

    • Requirements: None

    Myth Hunter: Someone that has done quite a bit of hunting. Able to host a hunt to a place or simply have more respect than their lower ranking members.

    • Requirements: 15-20 group-hosted hunts, submitted application.

    Myth Researcher: Those who research myths. A well-seasoned and experienced hunter, these people are knowledgeable and trustworthy!

    • Requirements: Participated/Hosted 25-40 group hunts, vouch, application, past reqs.

    [MEDIUM RANKS]

    Mythologist: One who studies myths, a very knowledgeable and well respected member of the community. They are of medium ranking and authority and a well-respected member in the group.

    • Requirements: Assist in moderation of group wall, Participated/Hosted 40-55 group hunts, acknowledgment from HRs, interview by an HR & past requirements

    Mythologists+ are subject to demotion after you become inactive in RMH. If you are an HR on a hiatus notify other members so you will not be demoted

    Video/YouTube Team: Videographers of the group! They create/post videos of their findings and theories on myths for all to see.

    • Requirements: Mostly Myth-Based YouTube Channel w/ 50+ subs & past requirements

    Myth Expert: Very seasoned hunter. An expert on myths, and very bright on the subject of myths.

    • Requirements: Assist in moderation of group wall, Participated/hosted 70-90 group hunts, well respected, & past requirements. Must be voted upon by HRs!

    [HIGH RANKS]

    Extreme Hunter: A very experienced and respected member of the community, and an HR, too! They know most myths like the back of their own hand.

    • Requirements: Assist in moderation of group wall, Participated/Hosted 100-125 group hunts, respect from peers, acknowledgement from HRs, member of the Discord Server, & past requirements

    Hunting Prodigy: The name explains itself. Only the most legendary, highest respected hunters are up here in the clouds.

    • Requirements: Special circumstances required & all past requirements.

    RMH Administrator: A very important role. They’ve done lots of things for the group, and have earned their title and rank. Well known and respected among the group.

    • Requirements: Very special circumstances and requirements. Must be ranked by Cenoglyphic/jokerkid5898 or the Council.

    If you are an inactive hr in all aspects (not being active on the comms nor group) you will get demoted to “Retired Veteran”


    [MISC. RANKS]

    SUSPENDED/Exile: Someone’s that permanently or temporarily suspended/exiled from participating and posting within the group.

    • Requirements: Break lots of rules

    Myth Inspired Game Developer: Game developers, whose games are heavily influenced/inspired by myths.

    • Requirements: Steady Like/Dislike Ratio, 1000+ game visits, little to no free models, detailed buildings

    Smaller/Upcoming Myth: For myths that have potential.

    • Requirements: 3k+ Place visits, verified/accepted by Myth Committee.

    Acclaimed Myth: Large and successful myth accounts.

    • Requirements: 15k+ game visits/directly related to a big myth, verified/accepted by Myth Committee, been around for about a year
    The Myth Committee is a team of low ranks, high ranks, and those in between who decide together whether a user is promoted to the rank of a myth or not. Currently, members are hand-picked by select HR’s for the role.

    Retired Veteran: Someone who chose to relax for a bit.

    • Requirements: Be an HR, and be taking a hiatus/long break.

    2ic/Council: A born leader.

    • Requirements: Very special circumstances and requirements. Must be ranked by Cenoglyphic/jokerkid5898.

    There’s a wide range of places to hunt and discover on roblox, be it a bunch of places in a single game, or an extremely simple yet meaningful game. While there are possibly an infinite amount of places to discover and uncover, the provided list is extremely short.     “My application got declined!”

    You most likely answered a question wrong, couldn’t provide someone to vouch for you at hunts, or lied on your application. Read the guide over again, attend more hunts, and remember names!

    “Someone’s exploiting at hunts/the HQ/Park! What do I do?”

    PM an HR their username so we can suspend them.

    “I found a weird place, can it be added to the list of places to hunt?”

    Absolutely! Just PM an HR the place, and they’ll check it over.

    “How do I get promoted?”

    Scroll up.

    “Why was I suspended?”

    You probably broke a rule after being warned, such as spam, threats, harassment, etc. If you wish to appeal, feel free to PM afcdeg1.

    “Why was I demoted?”

    You probably shout abused after being warned. Shout abuse is against the rules, so therefore you were demoted. You maybe broke a lot of rules, too.

    ”Does this group have a discord?”

    ”What HRs can I PM?”

    A few HR’s you can try PMing are lolkid007, unidentifiedchris, chikichunks, and anyone else ranked Extreme Hunter and above. Please keep in mind they may not respond right away, and please be considerate, as they are fellow hunters too.

    1. No Spamming
      Spamming:
    • Posting copypastas, ASCII art and any other similar type of message.
    • Sending large amounts of random/spam characters in one or multiple messages.
    • Repeatedly sending/spamming the same message.
    1. Do not harass, flamebait, intentionally offend people or troll
      Offenses for this rule include but are not limited to:
    • Constantly directing insults at/targeting a person/people.
    • Using ethnic, religious, ableist or any other type of slurs.
    • Making jokes about offensive things and events
    • Insensitive comments
    • Starting and participating in flamewars
    • Hate speech symbols such as offensive/discriminatory images.
    • Doxing/Exposing users (instant mute/ban depending on severity).
    1. Use channels for their intended purpose
      Do not advertise outside of #advertisement:
      • Advertising includes things such as posting your or someone else’s place, youtube channel, twitter, discord server, etc. Posting things such as your place can be allowed as long as it is relevant to the topic at hand.
        -Don’t use bot commands outside of #botstuff (staff using bot to moderate is an exception).
        -Don’t post memes in #mainchat, and post them in #off-topic-and-images instead.
        -Use #report only for posting reports, not for discussion of said reports, same applies for #advertisement.
        -Post your art in #art, credit other people’s art if you post it. Uncredited/stolen art will result in a warning and blacklist. Minor discussion of posted art is allowed.
    • Don’t try to purposely derail or disrupt an ongoing topic/conversation in #mainchat.
    1. Do not invalidly ping people
      A ping is invalid when it is used to ping a person without a valid reason, such as:
    • pinging excessively
    • simply to annoy the pinged person
    • ghost pinging (pinging a user and then deleting the message).
    1. Do not start or participate in drama
    • Do not impersonate other users.
    • Rioting/raiding is an automatic kick/ban.
    • Exposing myths counts as propagating drama and will be punished as such.
    • Continuing drama after being told to stop results in a warning, but excessive drama can result in an instant mute.
    1. No NSFW/NSFL Images
    • Disturbing images can result in a warning, and severe NSFW/NSFL will result in a kick/ban.
    1. Don’t abuse loopholes to avoid getting moderated
      This also includes but is not limited to:
    • Leaving to avoid a warning/mute results in a kick/ban.
    • Attempting to bend rules to avoid being warned.
    • Changing a slur or combining it with another word counts as a slur loophole.
    1. Use english characters for your nickname
    • Illegible usernames (ones not using english characters) are not allowed, however having some symbols/characters is fine as long as the majority of your nickname is made up of english characters.
    1. Do not solicit nor send your own or anyone else’s personal information in this discord
      Including, but not limited to:
    • Personal information such as addresses, IPs, real names, etc.
    • Face reveals
    • Overly personal happenings/things in your life
    • Information requested to be kept private by an individual.
    1. Respect the staff. Even if they’re falsely warning you, stay civil and just report it in #report.

    Voice Channel Rules:

    1. No excessively loud audio
    2. Music and other audio files should only be played in music channel
    3. Music and other audio files should not break any rule stated in #guidelines
    4. No voice changers
    5. Obey rules in #guidelines
    6. Don’t skip peoples’ music to annoy them

    Warnings Expire in 1 day
    3 warnings = 6 hour mute
    Having 5 mutes or 15 warnings under 1 month = ban]

    Actions in the discord can affect promotions/demotions in the actual group
    Please use common sense. Failure to listen to reasonable requests from mods is also warnable.

    When you join, please follow the instructions given to you by the bots! You MUST be in the group to access the rest of the server.

    DISCORD ONLY ROLES

    [TRUSTED]: Members who have done a lot for the group to be seen as reliable and hard working.

    [HELPER]: These are selected by the admins of the RMH server. They moderate and keep the server clean & in line. You can only gain this role through a vote or a council pick. Any rank can be a helper.

    [APPLICATION PROCESSOR]: Application processors review all Myth-Seeker through Myth-Researcher apps and rank those fit for the next rank.

    [OG]: Members who have this role are a Myth hunting veteran. These members have been in the group for 4 years and older.

    [MODERATOR]: Like helpers, yet more experienced & trusted by the admins.

    [ART CONTEST WINNER]: This special role is gained if you win an annual RMH contest, which are usually held seasonally or randomly.
