When I try to launch the Roblox Player, this popup appears:
Translation: The code execution cannot continue because RobloxPlayerBeta.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program to solve the problem.
System info: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G2010 @2.80 GHz
Expected behavior
What I expect to happen is that Roblox would launch normally without any errors.
Second on this issue, it seems to only happen when I open Roblox via a shortcut on the taskbar though. Tried reinstalling, then un-pinning and re-adding to taskbar, but I still get this issue. I think it also might be related that the first time I open Roblox after trying to use the shortcut the app freezes until I restart it.
@dswqsa895 Thank you for the report. Have you tried re-installing? Could you also send me a screenshot of your %localappdata%\Roblox\Versions and %localappdata%\Roblox\Versions\version-<latest version> folders?
@12345koip Could you also send me the screenshots of the folders above? And how did you re-install? Did you go through the Windows’ Add or remove programs, or just manually delete the folders?
Also, do either of you have any anti-virus software installed?
I re-installed via running the RobloxPlayerInstaller, previously uninstalled through Control Panel → Uninstall a program, and it did not fix the issue. However, my Roblox player just updated and now the issue appears to be fixed for me.
