I wanted to share something that happened to me and a few others I work with, and hopefully get some advice on what we can do next about it.
A few weeks ago, the co-owner of a Roblox group I help develop for stole around 500,000 Robux from us. Before that, the same person actually stole the group ownership too. Thankfully, Roblox Support helped us recover the group itself - but sadly, the Robux were already gone and roblox couldn’t help us get them back.
After the ownership was restored, that same person managed to spend 300k Robux first. Later, when we had the group ownership back, they used a hidden account through the Creator Dashboard roles to take another 200k Robux.
Both the group owner and I reached out to Roblox Support several times, but it hasn’t really led anywhere. I’ve spoken with multiple support agents, but most replies felt automated or didn’t address what I explained. Only one response felt like an actual person reading and understanding the issue and then they told me they can not assist me further with my issue.
It’s really frustrating because this wasn’t some small mistake, it was a clear case of theft in my eyes as these robux can get us a lot of money. I understand there are limits to what Roblox can restore, but it’s disheartening that someone can get away with something like this after all the work we’ve put in.
If anyone here has experienced something similar or knows any other way to try recovering the lost Robux, I’d really appreciate your advice, suggestions or just getting the attention of a Staff member.
