:dollar: Comments? Questions? Feedback?

Please leave a comment or send a direct message if you have any questions, issues, or feedback. If there is a problem with the form, let me know and I’ll take a look as soon as possible. I am by no means an expert on game economics. I wanted to create simple solutions for other developers for problems I often face myself. I hope this is helpful. If you modify my work and make a better version, feel free to post it in the replies. That took a long time to write.

Happy developing. :hidere:

I really like this resource. I think it’s very interesting and can help small developers learn how to track finances. Thank you for this!

Looks interesting tho it the name is kind of misleading in my opinion. Had to read the entire thing a few times just to be sure that this is just a way to track your game’s finances and not a mock investing app. I suggest changing the name of it to something that doesn’t suggest that it’s similar to the stock investing app - Robinhood.

Valid point, I’ll see if I can find a better name :+1:

@BeastyBlake101 I have 2 questions 1. Is there a minimum age and 2. Can you send the link to the website?

There is no minimum age for using Google Sheets, the link to the sheet can be found in my original post.

Ok thank you I am going to try it out.

I’m confused, do you in put the values yourself or does it automatically track revenue, if so, where would I put the game ID for it to track?

You’ll need to fill in the yellow columns yourself.

This should only take a few minutes and all the information is easily accessible from Roblox’s website on pages such as Developer Stats and Sponsorships.

Is there a Microsoft Excel version? I don’t use Google Sheets, but I do use Microsoft Excel.

I didn’t create an excel version specially. However, since you’d like one, hopefully this transfer works at least somewhat well.

Thanks a bunch! I will have to try importing it into Numbers now. :grinning:

No problem! If you do end up making any adjustments feel free to post your excel friendly file here and I’ll update my main post to include it.

This is pretty cool!

I would suggest making this an actual website however, excel and google sheets can be a bit confusing to a couple of people. I think something similar could be recreated with a small bit of javascript, and could expand to graphs and such with Charts.js.

This aside, the spreadsheet is made very well! It’s also a great way for people to learn how Google Sheets works and all the formulas. The limited tracker will also be quite useful in the future.

I’m glad you like it! I know nothing about websites, but there is definitely an opportunity on the table here if someone wanted to make one.

Okay, thank you! I will try.

Have you considered using a website builder? Google Sites is one that immediately comes to mind.
