RoFilter - Roblox chat filter in your Discord server!

Don’t personally see a use for this. As an alternative, you should have made it censor only obvious cuss words, or at least had a setting to. TONS of words would get filtered for no reason. PLUS Discord is a 13+ application, and Roblox’s filter is intended to protect young children.

Same reason why they don’t have a filter here, because its for people who are civilized, and children aren’t.

I just tried it and it doesn’t seem to work.

That’s not good! Mind sending me a DM so we can clear this up?

I figured it out, even after inviting the bot and giving him the admin perms and stuff, all I had to do is give him the admin role so it starts to work, but with just the RoFilter role, it didn’t work.

This is the best chat filter bot on Discord, and I absolutely love this.

It’s creating so much chaos and I’m just laughing.

This bot causes chaos in large servers. it has a good principle but eh.

If you own a large server and enjoy chaos, I highly recommend this bot. It’s actually amazing, especially when tagged with an @everyone.

I found a small issue though, people seem to bypass it by editing their messages.

How can they edit it if the messages get deleted and then the bot reposts it

They say something that is safe for work and then just edit it.

So I guess we’re gonna be learning how to communicate using hashtags.

Well this is an interesting concept, but there is a few things that I have a strong gripe with, regarding this. I’m not denying that the concept is rather interesting and that you certainly did a good job on it OP.

Now there’s two questions I have with this :

  • Could this be considered ressource abuse by the admins (since you mentioned using multiple bot accounts)
  • Will this cause the platform to get blocked by Discord like it was in the past should this be used in a server with loads of messages to filter? (back when some users were making a lot of requests whether intentionally or accidentally yes one day I accidentally made a lot of requests to WebHooks… Long story for another time)

Now don’t take it the wrong way OP, but to me this is a nice proof of concept, but as an actual usable thing, it does not seem to be a good usable idea.

Does anyone have any proof that this works? I may be adding it to my server, and I don’t want to get into any malicious content. :hammer_and_wrench:

This does work, last time I checked, the bot was in 48 servers, and I think some people enjoy it. Though I store nothing about messages at all, as it’s simply a relay/proxy, I wouldn’t know :frowning:

Alright, this seems good, and has a great concept! Thanks!

This would be a nice addition to lua learning discord. @boatbomber

Ewwwww… Disgusting. How dare you.

Wait until numbers get tagged.

This is quite possibly the most horrifying thing anyone has ever made.

If you also made this as not a joke, I added this to my server with 300+ people and they were quickly able to abuse it and start swearing almost 5 minutes after I did that.

EDIT: They can completely bypass it with "my swear words here

EDIT2: It also interprets all messages that start with - as a command, rather than explicitly checking for -setup and -remove

EDIT3: People can edit their message after posting something
