Hey, were back with another update. Mostly bug fixes relating to the Halloween Event, but with some extra stuff, too:

Additions

:tools: Big Map Creation Kit Update - Part 1! :map: (May 1st 2025)

More exciting features coming soon in Part 2!

Additions

  • AllowDestruction Setting :boom:
    • Controls if the map can be destroyed by in-game effects or not
    • If off, then Bombs, Subspace Tripmines, ThunderV3s and other destructive stuff won’t be able to cause damage to the map
    • The old DestructiveEffectsEnabled Setting will act like this Setting in older maps
      (default: true)
  • ServerScripts Folder :scroll:
    • Scripts put here will be added to ServerScriptService.Map folder
    • This allows you to secure your Server Scripts
    • Only supports Server Scripts
  • CharacterScripts Folder :person_standing:
    • Scripts put here will be added to every Player’s character model
    • Supports both Server Scripts and LocalScripts
  • Added a link to the Update Log in the READ ME Script :link:

Updated RoLive Map Creation Kit (January 6th 2025)

  • Rewritten “READ ME” (make sure to read again)
  • Added a default SpawnLocation
  • Added “SpawnBuxCollectibles” setting (default: true)
  • Added “MapUI” ScreenGui in settings (used for making map ui, duh)
  • Added “ServerStorage” and “ReplicatedStorage” folders
  • Removed “EffectsEnabled” and “DestructiveEffectsEnabled”

Giant RoLive Update - Part 2! :tada: (February 23rd 2025)

This update is mostly made by Uygi as I didn’t have time to finish my stuff.
I will already say that there will be a Part 3 (and maybe 4) of this Giant RoLive Update

Additions

  • For You Page: :heart:
    • Uses an Algorithm to recommend Streams based on your Watch History
    • You need to watch at least 5 Streams for the Personalized Stream Recommendations
  • Watch History: :eye:
    • You can view it in the hub
    • If you want, you can clear it and it will also reset the Personalized Recommendations
      Note: Clearing the Watch History will also reset the badge progress for Joining Stream badges
  • Short In-Game Update Log Pop-up: :newspaper:
    • Shows up only once, when you join a new update
  • Delete button for Donations in the hub :x:
  • Epic Map Tier: :star2:

This update mostly just adds new maps. There’s some map updates aswell.
I don’t know when Giant Update Part 3 will release, so for now you guys will get a smaller update.

This is an update to the RoLive Map Creation Kit found here:

Additions

  • “Materials” folder for storing custom MaterialVariants
  • “Scripting Examples” script that can help you understand some of the Scripting Instructions
    • Keep in mind though that to understand these, you need some scripting knowledge
  • 6 New Scripting Examples:
    • Getting the Map Model
    • Checking who’s the Streamer
    • Checking if a Player is in the stream
    • Properly using PlayerAdded event
    • Using map ServerStorage and ReplicatedStorage
    • Filtering Text
  • 4 New Rules (make sure to read “READ ME” again!)
  • 3 New Scripting Instructions
  • Updates section at the end of “READ ME”

    • This fixes the bug where some visual aspects of maps would stay when map would get unloaded

Remote Map Loading System (March 22nd 2025)

This is an update to RoLive that changes how maps are loaded into the game internally.
The new system will allow me to add maps to RoLive without having to update the game itself, which is very good!

If you ever find issues with map loading in new streams, then make sure to report them to me.

New RoLive Update! (March 23rd 2025)

Additions

  • 1 New Stream Setting: :gear:
    • Chat Tip Messages (requires VIP to disable)
  • 1 New Badge: :medal:
    • Profile Customizer!
  • 3 New Maps :map:
  • Star Tag on Streamer Profiles if the player owns VIP :star:

NEW Rolive Update!! (April 1st 2025)

New stuff

  • Some new chat tags for everyone! (because people really wanted them) :sparkles:
  • New service tunnels default map :map:
    • Locate an NPC in there and complete the quest to get :sparkles: VERIFIED :sparkles: (available for only 1 day)
    • If you’re already verified then you can get DOUBLE VERIFIED :ballot_box_with_check::white_check_mark: for completing the quest
  • 5 new limited time badges :medal:
  • Added pause button for the streamer that is definetely not an edited copy of another button :pause_button:

RoLive Update is here! (April 5th 2025)

There is not much here, but we’re working on bigger things.

:pause_button: Pause Stream

You can now pause the stream and show your viewers a message. You can customize the message if you have the VIP Gamepass.

:handshake: Possible Collaborations

We’re planning to get in contact with some influencers, either YouTubers or streamers. More details are coming soon…
