Ropes Fully Visible Underwater

As of release 429 it’s now possible to see ropes underwater from any distance when placing your camera underwater, despite the ‘underwater fog’ blocking your view of the rest of the map.

This only occurs in studio when you are playing the game, not in editor view.

This bug currently happens in any SharkBite update as we current have a float attached to the back of sharks via a rope, players can see the rope from across the map if they position their camera underwater.

To reproduce the issue simply place a rope underwater and your camera, you will be see the rope is not affected by the underwater fog.

It seems the addition of the Atmosphere class has messed up a lot of visual features like this, beams, and SSAO. Atmosphere looks cool and all but if it’s going to cause this many things to mess up then I think it should spend a little more time cooking in the oven.

The Atmosphere class hasn’t been enabled yet, and shouldn’t theoretically have anything to do with adornment rendering (beams, trails, etc), so I wouldn’t expect it to have any effect here. It’s more likely some other general rendering change under the hood.
