Rotate around a specific pivot point

I wanna rotate this model around the pivot point of the pole (instead of the centre of the model) as rotating the centre of the model doesn’t align it properly with parts.

I’ve looked through the forums, they all say use a plugin that has rotate pivot, which I have SBS, however, you can’t set what part if the pivot part. It just picks randomly for you

I wnat the pivot point to be the base of the post, not the light part

I don’t know any plugins that would solve that problem, but there is a manual way to do it.
Basically, create a part and use the Move Tool to a certain offset, then select the piece you want rotated and the part to see where the center is. You’ll likely have to keep moving the offset part until you have it at the desired location.

With SBS, mousewheel click using RotatePivot to manually set the pivot part.

maybe there’s an sbs way to do it but if you want to try F3X,

  1. select your model
  2. switch to rotate tool
  3. option A
3a. change pivot to last and deselect + reselect the part you want to pivot about (in this case the pole)
    4a. rotate
  4. option B
    3b. press t
4b. a pink x will show up when your cursor is over the side or corner of a part; click to set that as your pivot point
    5b. rotate
