Hey, so I’m trying to work on rigging some animatronic models that I have, but I’m having some issues. Basically, the model I have does not have a lower torso, just one part to be the torso or upper body part of the rig. I’m trying to make it so I can rotate that torso and all of its upper body will rotate, but for some reason the entire rig is affected when I rotate the upper body.
I tried creating an invisible part to act as the lower torso part, and I tried welding that to the humanoid root part, then the upper torso to the lower torso. It yielded the same result.
Not exactly sure how to fix this. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Maybe that part you chosed was the parent part of the whole rig? This happens to roblox R15 rig aswell, when I rotate the lower torso, the whole rig is affected.
I’m not sure I understand, you mean like the primary part?
I tried making it so instead of directly attaching the upper torso to the humanoid root part, the humanoid root part gets attached (via a motor6d) to a new invisible part that acts as the lower torso, and then that part gets attached to the upper torso, but it did the same thing. Not exactly sure what else I need to do
The problem was the legs’ Motor6Ds were also connected to the upper torso (the part I was rotating), so by doing that it caused the legs to rotate with it.
The fix was to make it so the legs’ Motor6Ds are actually connected to the lower torso, not the upper torso. That way, when the upper torso moves it moves independently from the lower torso. If that makes any sense
