Rotating part of a custom rig when animating causes everything else to rotate

    I want to be able to animate a seat I’ve made.

  2. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
    When I try to rotate the seat in my model it causes everything else to rotate instead. None of the parts in the model are anchored.

I think it might still have something to do with how I placed the joints in the model? Picture of what I did using RigEdit:

  1. What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Developer Hub?
    I’ve tried placing the joints differently and in a different order but only the seat ever causes the issue. I’m relatively new to this so I don’t really know what the issue is.

Minutes after this post I tried anchoring the HumanoidRootPart in the model and it worked. But will I need to have the rootpart anchored every time I want to play the animation?

No you will not need to have the seat’s anchored in order to play the animation.
