From the screenshot it looks normal and the title isn’t really descriptive enough. Though normally if it’s a tool issue it’s a bug and a restart will normally fix it.
It’s not a screenshot, it’s a video but for some reason it’s not playing.
If you play the video you’ll see me rotating the part, and when I move it with the select tool, the rotation resets back to 0 degrees.
Oh that doesn’t look like a bug, I think it’s like that. You have to use the translate tool (the one with the xyz axis arrows). When you drag a part it snaps to a surface and takes the angle of that surface so that’s probably why what your trying to do won’t work.
I have join surface off so it shouldn’t snap to the part it’s on top of.
I think though that’s just how the tool was designed.
This is an intended feature. It displaces the object based off of the last surface normal a raycast hit starting from the mouse position.
Is the feature able to be turned off?
It can technically be “turned off” with the draggers and properties window, which you should get used to because they’re more precise.
They are precise but they take longer when making a big project/map. The properties I mean.
for me it just turned off and i want to turn it on cause is a thing that i like
Okay, so basically:
