Round-based survival game idea

I have an idea for a survival/murder game but I think it already exists. Anyways, you will have a group of players and one of them is chosen to be a giant titan. The titan tries to kill all of the other players and other players must try to kill the titan using weapons (probably some kind of gun like a pistol). The players can unbox skin crates for their weapons. The map is destructible and is randomly chosen each round

I think I’ve played a game like this before on roblox but can’t really recall what it was.

Infact, this one is a Upgrade out of previous existing Round-Based giant boss fights
Here is the first version by the same creator :

And if i recall correctly, there is about 3 variant of a Giant Survival, one of them i have in mind is

I Still believe this kind of gamemode can be successfull to this day,
But you clearly have to make a Gameplay concept more interesting than the current one,
The cycle is awfully repetitive and i felt like a addon of Feature, like Installing Traps or grabbing Players, will make the experience much more fun and interesting.

You mean like the map would have traps or the giant would have abilities to trap the players?

Players being able to install traps, which isn’t a obvious task due to the huge difference in size,
However, gamemodes like these are all about Running away from the boss while shooting,
So setting up the “Bait” concept as a common thing to do shouldn’t be that hard to do,
like setting up a Tripwire (players installing some large sticks around the map),

Though it is easily abused, so you’ll also need to prepare some kind of “Alternaltive” for the boss
to access the players, Disabling Trap with a Stomp shockwave, or Throwing a Boulder kinda do the job.

Maybe they should just scrap the whole idea because inspired/copied idea games get a lot of backlash but the trap ideas sounds like something fresh and interesting.

Maybe what about:
Players and the giant can buy perks and the survivors are able hide in house’s furniture
so the game is more spiced and fair.

The idea isn’t original, but its alright if you want to try it. If you want to make this concept feel more appealing, you could add more unique features that make the game feel very interesting. Maybe some special maps where the player has to kill the giant while avoiding instant kill floors? Killing the giant with a vehicle(that fits the map). Or even giants being able to throw certain objects at the survivors, like a table.
Speaking of maps, they should also feel special. I’ll give you an idea, how about a map about a child’s bedroom? Survivors get spawned in a toy box(with a way out of course), and the giant gets to throw other toys at the players, like a lego brick for example.

Gotta agree with everyone else while it’s been done before it’s still a very viable option for a game, I would suggest thinking up varying features that the other games may no include. Being the Giant should overall make you feel BIG and Powerful but also have the restrictions of that, Slower moving, Smaller characters are going to be less notable if there is no targeting, Figuring out how to get around a map while destroying the enemy team.

Couple Ideas for such a game would be to go for a more Horror theme, a lotta these tend to be comedic and very brightly colored so they pop, which while still giving a level of worry about the giant it also somewhat cancels out the terror of being against such a behemoth. Features like having the survivor group having no weapons to start and instead having to find them on a map, craft them from resources that aren’t terribly hard to obtain, or event type items such as a cannon that you can only fire once per amount of time. These can allow you to give the survivors less courage since they lack immediate defense and gives you a chance to let the horror of being found while defenseless kick in.

Imagine a survivor having to hide behind a crate as a Giant “peeks” into a building through a hole in the side, or even the monsters perspective of trying to hunt down players but having to actually look around for them with limited view.
