Roxy Chill Map Layout

I am Currently Developing my own “Chill Game” Where People can relax and listen to trending music - as well as Swordfight & Buy clothing.

This is currently the layout of the building and would like some Positive and negative feedback - so far have worked roughly 3 hours on it.

Things I’ll still be adding are more interior models [still modeling them] as well as exterior models for an outside area which I haven’t built yet.

The lighting is very generic (explore other colors), and the walls have weird shadows on the edges especially near corners (third picture). Try disabling “CastShadow” on these parts and see what happens.

As for the build itself, the floor could use more detail rather than one flat piece. Adding windows would help too.

Removed all the “CastShadow” But for some reason, some areas are still reflecting a shadow, most likely a studio bug?

What’s your studio quality? That may partly be the reason why.

That’s just the light ranges ending
I believe.

The map could use some textures on the wall and more realistic lighting. I’d add physical light fixtures so the player can actually see where the light comes from.

Its on Max
As well as the tip on the window, I’m planning on adding more clothing on that wall, however, the rest of the “house” has windows and a semi build garden that I’m currently using for my rendered models.

Yeah that’s my main focus right now, i’m gonna be designing a ceiling flat light - example

Oh, yeah. Using future lighting would definitely help with that.

For the light lining

Just extend a block across, add a SurfaceLight to it, and make it face the wall across from it.

Having the light come down a little and facing the ceiling may work as well.

For the flat ceiling lights.

Create a Union for the light hole, use a Spotlight, and extend the range untill it hits the floor.

I listened to the Suggestion on the textures and adding the lighting and have added an example texture & the complete lights - thoughts?

The purple lights are still bothering me. Change the white neon light color to purple or change the purple to white. Also make sure to enable future lighting if you’d like to.

The brick texture is also a too big. It is possible to have bricks like that, but I personally have never seen them used in that size.

Something Like this?

It’s better. Now do something about that blue light in the corner and enable future lighting.:stuck_out_tongue:
