Cabin Crew Handbook

Introduction

As a cabin crew here at Ruby Airlines your job is to greet and welcome people onto the aircraft making sure they’re satisfied with what they’re given on board. You will need this guide throughout your training and career with us. Please, use it at all times and never go on flights without it.

Expectations

While being part of the cabin crew department at Ruby Airlines you’re expected to be polite and respectful to everyone around you no matter what it’s and you’re required to act professionally at all times. Being a cabin crew member also means you’ve read our terms of service within the staff division and the main server agreeing to all of them.

From here on will be the fundamentals of being a Cabin Crew member at Ruby Airlines

Preparations Before Boarding

Before boarding begins make sure you set the mood lighting which is usually the black rectangle inside the aircraft to dark purple or dark blue. You need to have all of the overhead bins open and make sure that the boarding music is playing.

  • In order to set the mood-lighting you need to click the black rectangle inside the plane to the right of the cockpit door and set it to the color given to you by the flight host.

  • You need to go into controls on the UI in the plane and set the music to the ID given to you by our host.

  • Begin pursing.

Pursing

Basically this is when your job begins at a flight which is boarding. During boarding you’re supposed to greet passengers onto the aircraft and it’s pretty straight forward. Make your greeting personal and kind. Make it look like your not just copying and pasting, change it up a little each time, maybe add their name, or say a different word, etc. Your greeting should always start with “Merhaba!”, which is hello in Turkish.

Departure and Takeoff

For departure make sure everyone is seated and give the pilot a notice that everyone has been seated and make sure you’re seated in the cabin seats either at the front or the back. Make sure the seat belt sign is on as well which can be found by clicking the black rectangle inside the aircraft. You should have the safety video playing on the control panel as well. The ID will be given to you by the host. Make sure to hold up the tools and show the passengers the masks and such. Do not loop the safety video!

Cruising

Once cruising begins the pilot will make an announcement saying that cruise has begun. Once that is done, jump out of your seat and start serving the passengers, and here’s how. (before serving make sure you equip the food cart and make sure everyone has been given a menu)

(Conceal your command by typing /e before it, I didn’t do that in the example above which would have gotten me fired.)

Continue until everyone has been served and once everyone has been served make sure to give the pilot a notice that everyone has been served and is seated then landing will begin.

Landing

You need to have the seatbelt sign on and have all staff and passengers seated during the landing. Make sure to keep everybody seated.

Deboarding

While deboarding passengers it’s basically the same thing as greeting passengers but instead you’re saying goodbye. Here is an example of what you could say.

“Thank you for flying with Ruby Airlines! Bye!”

Thanks for reading the guide!

Good luck on your evaluation!
