Same servers duplicating

I don’t know how long this bug has been happening, considering I saw it occur for the past couple of years, but basically servers are duplicating themselves into another server. I don’t know if this also makes the player count go up in the game or what it does but it’s pretty weird. At the moment it’s probably at its peak, as I’ve seen duplicated servers in every single game I’ve looked at.

For this bug to occur it might take a few pages or scrolling for it to happen to you, but for most the duplication occurs on the front pages most of them. This bug isn’t necessarily a huge problem, but if this bug is causing games concurrent player count to go up then that is an issue.

To replicate this bug follow these steps:

  • Go to any game that’s on the front page

  • Go to the games player count

  • Find a duplicated server

In these screenshots the colored dots represent the servers that are being duplicated.

This is probably just behavior of the server list refresh button. In games with many players, you can see the same server every now and then on different spots.

This is not an issue with ROBLOX itself persae, it’s an issue with these kinds of APIs. They can create repeated results. Look at ebay/amazon item listings if you want a comparison. Some items can repeat themselves

Duplicated server lists do not affect the player count since that’s not directly connected to the playing value.
