When you want to publish an asset to the Roblox website, a window opens where you can enter the asset’s info. To the bottom left is a button to swap to another view where you can select and overwrite an existing asset, as circled in this picture.
The issue however is that the text of this button is incorrect. It says “Save as a new asset…”, which is referring to the current page. It should instead say “Overwrite an existing asset…” because it leads to the page where you can overwrite an existing asset. The same is true for the other page where you can overwrite an exising asset. On that page the button says “Overwrite an existing asset…” as seen in this picture.
Again, this button is referring to the current page and not the page it leads to! So instead it should say “Save as a new asset…”
These buttons are incorrectly marked in both the windows for publishing plugins (right click an object and then select ‘Publish as Plugin…’) and for publishing assets (right click an object and then select ‘Save to Roblox…’).
When I tried to update one of my plugins today I was caught off-guard by this bug and I assume I am not alone in this. I hope this can be fixed soon!
